1) Sam Dixon makes winning debut
Sam Dixon made his debut appearance on Sunday 23rd November at the Belvedere park club in Burton on Trent. The sixteen year old faced off against a worthy opponent from Leicester’s PKA gym also making his debut. The fight was scheduled for three, one and a half minute rounds and from the opening bell both the fighters gave it their all. Dixon used his powerful roundhouse kicks followed up by straight shots which sent his opponent back against the ropes pressuring him all the time. The bout had plenty of excitement in all three rounds with both fighters showing a lot of determination and heart seeing as though it was their first fight. As the third round started and the fatigue started to kick in with both opponents, Dixon did just enough with his jab and roundhouse kick to get the majority decision from the judges.
